The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) is a not-for-profit, interdisciplinary professional organization. In addition to sexuality educators, sex counselors and sex therapists, AASECT members include physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, allied health professionals, clergy members, lawyers, sociologists, marriage and family counselors and therapists, family planning specialists and researchers, as well as students in relevant professional disciplines. These individuals share an interest in promoting understanding of human sexuality and healthy sexual behavior.

The National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) was formed in 1967 with its primary focus to conduct investigations related to litigation. Membership in NALI is open to all professional legal investigators who are actively engaged in negligence investigations for the plaintiff and/or criminal defense, and who are employed by investigative firms, law firms or public defender agencies. An applicant must have a minimum of 24 months of documented full-time employment in this endeavor. Membership in NALI currently exceeds 650 professional legal investigators located throughout the United States and in several other countries. The common bond of these legal investigators is the arena of litigation and the ability to work with attorneys to prepare a case for trial.

The Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition fosters applied research in memory and cognition and promotes the communication of this research within and between the applied and basic research communities. The Society was founded in 1994 at the Third Practical Aspects of Memory Conference held at the University of Maryland. The purpose of the Society is to enhance collaboration and co-operation between basic and applied researchers in memory and cognition.
International Investigative Interviewing Research Group. The illRG was formed in 2007 and is a worldwide network of professionals, with collaborative interests, working with international bodies committed to improving investigative interviewing (internationally) and ensuring all improvements are underpinned by a robust evidence base.
The International Association of Forensic Criminologists (formerly The Academy of Behavioral Profiling) is an association of students and professionals dedicated to the application of evidence based criminological theory and criminal profiling techniques within investigative and legal venues.

Manage and own the group Forensic Child Sexual Abuse Investigators and Child Interviewers: A LinkedIn group dealing with the issues of the criminal justice system who are professionals in dealing with allegations of child sexual assault issues. Over 640 members at this time. Group created and monitored by this author.
The Washington Association of Legal Investigators is a non-profit organization formed in May of 1997 by a group of Washington State Investigators. The main goal and purpose of the association is to provide an educational forum for investigators throughout the State that improves the skills and the level of professionalism of those in the industry.
The association also provides an opportunity for networking and a news source for information related to investigations as well as performing other functions related to promoting the good of the industry and deemed valuable and desirable by its members. WALI hosts educational meetings and also promotes a variety of PI conferences throughout the year.
