The title of this article is curious at best, as it assumes that a law enforcement officer who ‘closes his mind’ under specific circumstances may ultimately come to the conclusion that they missed specific information which is relevant and material to an investigation when investigating sexual assault allegations. The environment in which an officer ‘closes his mind’ may be a necessary and needed fact of being a law enforcement officer.
Life provides everyone with many situations which may not prove to be positive.
